An adventure bike jacket needs to be protective, functional and comfortable, more so than that of a standard textile motorcycle jacket. When covering thousands of miles in terrain that ranges from tricky trails to tarmac, your adventure motorcycle jacket needs to be able to withstand abrasion if the worst should happen. The Weise Dune Textile Jacket features a 600D textile outer construction, which is dual layered in key impact areas to further the resistance to the intense friction that you may experience in an accident scenario. With the additional dual stitching on the Weise Dune Jacket and the CE AA standard approval, it clear to see that this textile adventure jacket will easily hold up in an accident scenario, as well as thousands of miles of riding.

Protective elements within the jacket help to keep you protected in the event of an accident, which help to dissipate impact energy at these key areas. The Weise Dune Jacket offers a five-piece armour set, with CE approved armour found at the back, shoulders and elbows as standard. These armour pads are fitted to dedicated armour pockets with Velcro closures, making these armour pads removable, should you choose to. Passive protection comes in the form of reflective detailing, included to maximise your visibility when riding in the dark or in poor weather conditions.

An adventure bike jacket needs to be as versatile as the riding conditions. The Weise Dune Jacket features interior linings designed to keep you protected from the elements when riding in the worst of the weather when on tour. Within this adventure bike jacket, you’ll find a waterproof breathable membrane which is microporous in its construction. This membrane features a vast amount of small holes, small enough to limit water entry beyond this membrane, but large enough to allow water vapour (sweat) to escape from within the lining to ensure that the jacket remains breathable.

You’ll also find a plush, removable thermal interior lining. This quilted thermal liner is full length and is included to provide an additional layer of insulation at the whole of the body, keeping you warm in the coolest of conditions. Both the waterproof lining and the thermal lining are removable, allowing the rider to tailor the Weise Dune Jacket to suit the conditions with you are riding in.

With the thermal linings and waterproof linings removed, the rider can truly feel the effects of the large ventilation openings. These vents feature a large roll down cover, which is neatly tucked out of the way for an uninterrupted ventilation opportunity. These ventilation points also extend to the lower arms to help channel cool air into the sleeves, while the twin rear exhaust vents allow warm stale air to escape from within the jacket from a complete cooling experience.

For a great fit, this textile touring jacket features adjustment belts at the waist, bicep and forearm areas. These adjustable belts allow the rider to tailor the fit and feel of the Weise Dune Jacket to suit their body shape at these areas. These belts could be used to take up any slack with the interior linings removed or to accommodate further layers beneath the jacket when travelling in cooler climates.

Any long-distance touring motorcycle jacket needs to have storage opportunities. The Dune Jacket features large box pockets at the exterior, which is lined with the same waterproof membrane as the rest of the jacket, ensuring that your belongings do not suffer water damage when riding. Behind these box pockets are fleece lined handwarmer pockets, the perfect place for your hands after a cold ride. You’ll also find a single internal storage pocket, ideal for keeping your phone or wallet safe while touring.

At the rear of the jacket, you’ll find a large pocket that is ideal for storing maps or documentation that you may need when travelling. Additionally, this Weise Jacket features a hydropack pocket, designed to support your water bladder for hydration on the move.
