Back with a bang, the latest GSX-S1000 features increased engine performance, a host of technological advancements and an aggressive redesign to the bike’s exterior, helping to make the new Suzuki GSX-S1000 one of the most exciting bikes to grace the roads.

The edgy styling of the new GSX-S1000 is instantly recognisable, asserting its presence on the road with razor sharp lines. A great deal of development has taken place within Suzuki to give the GSX-S1000 a major facelift, with an aggressive new stance and a thinner tail section, giving a more forceful silhouette than its predecessor.

The first visual change is, of course, the all new vertically stacked headlights. These bright LED lights sit in hexagonal housings for a unique, recognisable look and are topped with an additional LED position light. These LED headlights help keep the new, narrow profile of the Suzuki GSX-S1000 whilst furthering the machine’s aggressive aesthetic. Rather than opt for a reflector or projector type headlights, the new GSX-S1000 uses mono-focus type headlights that shine straight through the outer lens for clearer illumination from your headlights. These LED headlights are perfectly paired with LED turn signals and a new LED rear tail light.

The visual updates of the new Suzuki GSX-S1000 continue with the inclusion of the brushed radiator shrouds which help to house the radiator to help complete the silhouette of the new edgier bike. These radiator shrouds are also complimented by MotoGP inspired winglets at the front of the machine, helping generate greater downforce and contributing to the ‘mass-forward’ profile of the bike. Additional urban camo textured panelling helps to break up the minimalistic black of the frame. Despite the camo additions, you won’t be blending into the background on your new GSX-S1000. You’ll be leading the pack!

The power plant that breathes life in the new GSX-S1000 inherits its superbike winning DNA from the engine used in the previous incarnation. However, multiple refinements within the engine offer increased performance and usability, as well as ensuring that the machine easily meets the emissions regulations for Euro 5 compliance.

Engine revisions such as a newly designed camshaft, new electronic throttle bodies, an updated exhaust system and more offer an engine that produces greater torque with a smoother delivery, particularly in the mid-range. Even the airbox has been redesigned, with a less intake resistance to help provide an increase in power. Whether you’re navigating city traffic or heading out into the twisting country lanes for the weekend, the GSX-S1000’s brilliant torque is only a throttle twist away.

The addition of the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) is a welcomed feature, enhancing not only the usability of the new Suzuki GSX-S1000 but enriching the naked sports bike potential too. The SCAS helps to reduce the negative torque and engine braking when downshifting from high RPM, which can cause the rear wheel to skip or potentially lock up. The result of the SCAS system is a smoother machine, which offers the rider greater control when downshifting and cornering as well as a lighter clutch lever operation, making for increased comfort when travelling through tight traffic.

To bring the new Suzuki GSX-S1000 right up to date, Suzuki have included their Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS). This comprehensive electronics package offers includes the latest in Suzuki motorcycle technology, allowing you to get the most out of your new GSX-S1000.

Suzuki’s Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) features three different riding modes to help tailor the machine to suit the rider or the riding conditions. These riding modes are distinguished by the letters A, B and C, which stand for ‘Active’, ‘Basic’ and ‘Comfort’. ‘Active’ provides the most direct throttle response for exciting acceleration on good weather days, while ‘Comfort’ offers a softer throttle response and gentler torque delivery, perfect for wet weather days or a more relaxed riding style.

The Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS) has been expanded from the previous GSX-S1000, and now features five different traction control modes to let you tailor your new Suzuki to meet your needs. The STCS uses inputs from the throttle position sensor, crank position sensor, gear position sensor, front wheel speed sensor and rear wheel speed sensor. All these sensors feed back to the GSX-S1000’s electronic brain and makes adjustments accordingly when an imminent loss of traction is detected, helping keep you safer on the road and a blessing in wet weather conditions.

A new ride-by-wire electronic throttle system allows for a greater connection between the rider and the bike for a more direct throttle response. This system works by using a series of sensors to communicate with the throttle valves, offering a lighter and faster throttle response with a natural, familiar feel. The inclusion of the ride-by-wire throttle has also made it possible for Suzuki to include a bi-directional quickshifter on the new GSX-S1000, which allows the rider to shift up and down the gearbox without the use of the clutch lever. The quickshifter’s electronic sensors automatically interrupt power delivery for a fraction of a second, allowing the gear cogs to unload and the rider to upshift, all in one seamless transaction. The bi-directional quickshifter is sure to improve the sporty feel of the new GSX-S1000, both on the road and when unleashing its true potential on track.

Suzuki have also made changes to the chassis design to optimise both performance and rider comfort, whether commuting through traffic or tackling twisting turns at weekends. The first of these changes is a new tapered handlebar with an extended length, 23mm longer than the previous GSX-S1000, and slightly upturned. These new bars contribute to a more upright, ergonomic riding position as well as enhancing rider control. You’ll also find a new rider’s seat, designed for comfortable, sporty riding with greater support at the rear of the seat as well as a material covering that offers greater grip.

This latest revision of the Suzuki GSX-S1000 features Suzuki's beautiful TFT dashboard display. Beautifully clear, this 5 inch display details every aspect of your new Suzuki GSX-S1000 incl;uding speedometer, fuel gauge, gear position and so much more. Plus, thanks to an integrated light sensor, the new TFT dashboard display changes seamlessly between day mode and night mode without the need for rider interaction. Of course, this can also be permanently changed to one or the other depending on your riding preferences. Who doesn't love 'dark mode'?

Available in three exciting colours, the new Suzuki GSX-S1000 is an incredible naked sports bike that is ready to deliver at a moment’s notice. With three years Suzuki warranty and a host of Suzuki genuine accessories to help make the bike your own, there has never been a better time to upgrade to a new Suzuki.
