The outer construction of the Spada Murmasa Jacket is a robust polyester hardshell, designed to withstand the intense friction of motorcycle accident scenarios and keep your skin safe from the road surface. Beneath the surface of the jacket lies dedicated armour pockets which house CE approved armour that helps to effectively dissipate the impact energy away from these key areas. You’ll find CE Level 2 armour included as standard at the back, shoulder and elbows, fitted to pockets that ensures that the protective armour within the Muramasa jacket remains in the right place when it is needed most. These pockets feature a Velcro closure, which makes the armour removable should you choose to.

The exterior of the Spada Muramasa Jacket features a durable thermoplastic polyurethane liquid coating, which covers the entire exterior of this textile jacket to lock out the wet weather that you may find yourself expose to while riding. This has been coupled with waterproof taped zippers at the central closure zipper and zipped chest ventilation openings, to minimise any chance of water seeping through a zipped area. But don't just take Spada's word for it. The Spada Muramasa Jacket has been submitted to and passed EN 343 testing, which is a standard used in PPE testing for prolonged exposure to harsh weather conditions. This testing assesses the protection against rain and wind while maintaining breathability and comfort from the jacket.

Further wet weather protection comes in the form of the rain channel and storm flap, covering the central closure zipper and eliminating any chance of wind or rain from working their way through the zipper and dampening your base layers. Waterproof taped zippers are also used to lock out moisture from entering the jacket through the zipper ventilation areas when they are in the closed position. When opened, these zipped areas turn this textile motorcycle jacket into an ideal summer jacket, channel cool air into the Spada Muramasa Jacket at the chest and lengths of the sleeves. This ventilation also continues with a zipped rear vent, allowing warm, stale air to escape from within this textile jacket for a complete cooling experience.

Adjustable cuffs allow the wearer of this textile jacket to tailor the glove-under or glove-over cuff situation to suit their gloves and riding conditions. Further adjustments come in the form of a waist belt, bicep and forearm adjustment belt and zipped relief gusset for greater comfort when sat on the bike.
