Sidi's quest for MX perfection has reached its pinnacle with the Sidi Crossfire 3 SRS boots. The flagship Crossfire 2 boots have been taken to the next level, refined by the latest technology and extensive input from Sidi's off road champions. These are serious performance boots for pro MX riders, and off road enthusiasts who want only the best.

The Crossfire 3 boots have a more durable construction than ever before, making them a good long term investment in your off road performance. Laminated Technomicro microfibre is the base material, highly abrasion-resistant and durable. The whole boot leg is stitch-free and replaceable, making the whole design less susceptible to damage and easier to clean. It also means you can swap parts of the boot if they become damaged.

These boots offer impressive comfort in demanding conditions. Inside the boot, Sidi have used a Cambrelle® liner in the foot area and a 3D Air Teflon mesh up the boot leg. The Teflon mesh traps a layer of cool air to stop you overheating, and both liner materials will pull water away from your skin. This allows it to evaporate through the Crossfire 3's multiple air vents, which allow airflow in and out of the boot.

Sidi have used the latest technology to create one of the most protective boots on the market. The Crossfire 3 SRS boots are CE approved, meaning they have passed impact, cut and abrasion testing to achieve this high standard. As well as a replaceable PU shin plate, the Crossfire 3 features a new PU heel cup which is shock-resistant and minimises twisting injury. A tough plastic toe covering guards this vulnerable area and is embossed for better grip on the bike's controls.

One cutting-edge upgrade to the Crossfire's protection is the patented ankle pivot system, which forms a joint for the ankle to move naturally. It also prevents unnatural movement, with a solid Hyper Extension Block placed to stop the ankle, instep or posterior tendon suffering from hyper-extension. Another new addition is a tough nylon insert to protect the inner foot, in case it slips from the footpegs. A rubber heat shield on the inner leg improves grip and guards against the hot engine.

With this third generation, Sidi have developed the most flexible and personalised fit yet. The upper flex system allows the top of the boot leg to expand further when the buckles are open, so you can accommodate knee braces, other protective gear or a wider calf. The calf and shin plate are now both able to be expanded with an inner double adjustment system. This allows up to 3cm more space to find your own tailored fit.

Like the Crossfire 2 boots, the Crossfire 3 also features four cam-lock buckles, which are easily operated with gloves. These are all independently adjustable and have just one fixed point. They are all extremely tough, but for extra peace of mind Sidi have protected them with a hard buffer under each buckle. If they ever are damaged, the buckles can be replaced. Once set, the buckles 'remember' their place and you'll never need to adjust them again. Simply click into place and ride out to conquer the trail.

The SRS sole has been improved on these boots, with the whole sole being thicker and longer lasting. The new Dovetail SRS design keeps the toe and heel parts of the sole on the boot permanently. It is then only the middle part which is replaced - this can be done easily using a standard screwdriver. The replacement sole then interlocks securely with the toe and heel sections. Sidi have also replaced the steel shank with a safer nylon insole, with removable arch support.
