The outer construction of the boot is a man-made microfibre. This hardwearing outer material is lighter than traditional leather but equally as durable, making it the perfect composition for a pair of adventure motorcycle boots. If you’re looking to cover many miles in complete comfort, the RST Ambush Boots are worth your consideration.

These adventure motorcycle boots also feature a microsuede material at the inside leg, providing a soft feeling barrier between your boots and your bike. This barrier helps to stop your boots from scratching the side of your bike, as well as limiting heat transfer from the exhaust through to the interior of the boot.

RST have partnered with Sympatex for the weatherproof element of the RST Ambush Boots. Sympatex works in a very different way to the traditional microporous waterproof membranes that are traditionally used in a motorcycle boot. Sympatex is a three-layer membrane system; the membrane that sits closest to the outer surface is hydrophobic, meaning that it inherently repels water from entering the boot. The layer closest to your foot is hydrophilic, wicking away moisture from your feet as sweating occurs to keep your feet fresh and dry. The layer sandwiched between these two layers works as a one-way valve to push the sweat and water vapour away from your foot and retain it for evaporation into the outer. The warmer your get, the better the membrane functions as it works to keep you fresh and dry.

Protection from impacts is important on an adventure bike boot and as such, the RST Ambush Boots features a suite of protective elements at the exterior and interior to ensure that your feet and legs remain protected both on the road and off it. A flexible TPU shin protector helps to cushion impacts at this area, while remain comfortable when riding and walking around at your destination.

Additional protection comes in the form of reinforced toe box and heel cockpit, as well as integrated ankle protection points that are designed to help dissipate impact energy away from this area should the worst occur. A polycarbonate anti-twist midsole shank is included too, designed to ensure that the sole doesn’t twist or bend in a way that is unnatural but still offer the freedom of movement needed for changing gear and walking around at your destination.

A triple buckle fastening with Velcro closure makes getting the boots on and off a simple experience. Once the fastening buckles have been set to your desired length, it’s a case of three clips and you’re on your way!

Within the boots lies an Airtex membrane designed to help getting the boot on and off easier as well as helping to circulate the air within the boot, along with an antimicrobial gel insole for your feet, helping to cushion your feet when spending prolonged period standing on the pegs. Further help in this area comes from a heavy duty adventure sole for those long standing up periods and to soak up vibrations coming through the footrests when traveling on uneven ground.
