The soft aniline leather construction feels brilliantly supple, enhancing rider comfort over long and short journeys. The supple leather enhances your comfort, while the action back construction maximises your natural range of movement when riding without disturbing the classic leather motorcycle jacket appearance of the Alton 2 jacket. Despite the comfortable construction, the Alton II jacket is highly abrasion resistant and easily withstands the intense friction that can be experienced in motorcycle accidents. Beneath the surface of this leather motorcycle jacket lies official D30® tri-vented elbow and shoulder armour. The innovative armour system maximises your protection by minimising the impact energy that is transferred into these areas. Thanks to the vented construction of the armour, you won't find yourself sweating beneath the padding either. A pocket is provided for you to further upgrade your jacket's protection by adding a D30® Viper Stealth back protector should you choose to (available separately).

A 100g thermal interior lining provides additional insulation when the temperatures turn, which features a gorgeous tartan upper lining trim courtesy of Marton Mills, a British textile manufacturer that has been producing high quality textile materials since the 18th century. If the weather begins to warm up, this thermal lining is easily removed, leaving behind a comfortable summer motorcycle jacket, with a fixed mesh interior lining to separate your skin from the leather and increased breathability and air circulation within the jacket.

With the thermal lining removed, riders and free to make the most of the ventilation openings found on the Merlin Alton 2 leather jacket. Two upper chest vents at the right of the chest drive cool air into this leather motorcycle jacket during your riding, while three exhaust vents found at the rear of the jacket allow the build-up of warm air to escape efficiently from within the jacket. These ventilation areas open and close with a YKK zipper closure, allowing the rider to tailor the airflow to suit their needs. Additionally, this classic leather bike jacket feature perforations beneath the underarms, helping to minimise sweat build-up even on the warmest of days.

A zipped central closure by YKK closes this retro motorcycle jacket, but features a small leather cover at the base of the zip, minimising the chances of the zipper from scratching your motorcycle. The same YKK zippers close the twin exterior storage pockets and cuff areas, with additional storage within the jacket, offering plenty of storage locations for your phone, keys and more.
