Sports riding style without the traditional bulk, the Alpinestars SMX 1-R V2 boots are ideal for the sports and naked bike riders looking for something to tackle the twisting turns on their favourite roads and accompany them on their morning commute too.

The outer construction of these Alpinestars sports boots is a microfibre material. This involves using multiple tightly woven strands of high strength fibres and weaving them into a material which mirrors its leather counterparts, without any of the imperfections that can occur with using a natural material such a leather. The result is a highly abrasion resistant outer construction that can easily withstand the intense abrasion that may be experience in a slide across the road surface.

TPU protection adorns these Alpinestars sports boots, from the TPU heel protection cockpit at the outside of the boot, to the replaceable TPU toe slider at the outside of the boot. Both are included to protect your feet and keep the feet moving, reduce the chances of the grip and twist effect as the microfibre outer material meets the road surface.

Additional TPU protection comes at the ankle of the boots, which feature TPU reinforcements and additional soft density padding to help limit the transferal of impact energy through the boots. Interior reinforcements at the heel and toe ensure that the shape of the boots does not change at these key areas in an accident scenario.

Contour panel at the front of the boot ensure a natural range of movement when riding and when walking around off the bike. This is paired with an angled ankle section as well as relief cuts at the rear for even greater comfort.

Entering the Alpinestars SMX 1-R V2 boots is simple, with a zipped entry at the inner side of the boots, which features a Velcro tab at the upper, stopping the zipper from scratching your bike and ensuring that the zipper does not work down accidentally when riding. You’ll also find a retention strap across the instep, which is reinforced with aramidic fibres for increased strength and durability.

A low-profile gear change pad offers unintrusive shifting, and features a geometric shape pattern for more positive gear changes. The compound rubber sole provides excellent grip on the pegs and is supported by a removable EVA foam footbed within the SMX-1 boots, providing additional support for your arches when riding for a more enjoyable riding experience.
