The GP Tech V2 gloves utilise multiple different materials in their construction, placing these materials in strategic locations to enhance performance and comfort. The combination of kangaroo leather and goat leather with traditional cowhide leather offers enhanced comfort and weight reduction whilst retaining an incredible amount of abrasion resistance should the worst occur.

Furthering the abrasion resistant nature of these Alpinestars racing gloves is the inclusion of official DuPont Kevlar in multiple locations around the glove. The kangaroo leather palm is inherently abrasion resistant and offers increased feeling through the handlebars, however the abrasion resistance is furthered with multiple DuPont Kevlar overlays. These strategically placed Kevlar areas at the lower palm and side of the hand help to maximise the resistance to intense friction in the event of a slide across the track.

At the back of the hand, the Kevlar protection continues. The stretch material which features the dual density knuckle protection is created with a Kevlar reinforcement woven in. This material not only offers an incredible amount of abrasion resistance but also furthers comfort and freedom of movement at this area.

The dual density knuckle protection on the Alpinestars GP Tech glove provides an incredible amount of protection at the back of the hand, protecting your knuckles from not only a variety of impacts but also from repeated impacts in the event of a high-speed crash. These innovative dual density protectors also extend to the backs of the fingers, maximising the protective elements within these leather Alpinestars gloves.

In a high-performance sports glove such as the Alpinestars GP Tech V2 Glove, sliding protection is important too. To this end, these racing gloves feature a scaphoid palm slider made of a high density TPU to keep your hands moving should they meet the road surface, rather than a grip and twist motion which can transfer the weight of your body to your wrist. You’ll also notice the inclusion of a Dynamic Friction Slider at the wrist area, which furthers the performance and protection within the glove. This slider is created in the same material as is used on Alpinestars top end racing suits, furthering the racing pedigree of the glove.

The addition of a fourth finger bridge is essential in a motorcycle racing glove, ensuring that a slide at the side of the hand doesn’t result in damage to the little finger due to unnatural movement if it grips the road surface.

A Velcro cuff and Velcro wrist closure offers two fastening points, ensuring that the glove and all the protective elements that are incorporated into the glove remain in the right place when they are needed most.
