The outer construction of these Alpinestars riding shoes is a microfibre material. This entails using multiple tightly woven strands of high strength fibres and weaving them into a material which mirrors its leather counterparts, without any of the imperfections that can occur with using a natural material such a leather. The result is a highly abrasion resistant outer construction that can easily withstand the intense friction that may be experienced in a slide across the road surface.

The stitching found on the Alpinestars Faster 3 Drystar is double stitched for increased strength at the seams, maximising the strength of these urban riding boots should the worst occur. Other stitching, such as that found at the TPR heel cup and its accompanying lateral support, is recessed into the TPR to minimise it ever contacting the road surface in the first place.

Other TPR can be seen at the outer toe, designed more in stop the road surface from wearing through the toe of the boot in an accident, rather than letting you slip across the surface when cornering aggressively. Interior reinforcements at the heel and toe ensure that the shape of the boots does not change at these key areas in an accident scenario.

Alpinestars have utilised their primary waterproofing technology in these boots. The Drystar membrane is microporous and features a vast amount of very small holes, small enough that water droplets cannot permeate through but large enough to allow water vapour (sweat) to escape from within the boots. Regardless of where the road takes you, you'll be safe from the worst of the weather and feeling fresh at the feet when you arrive.

The padded tongue and collar of the Faster 3 Drystar boots help to offer additional comfort when riding and walking around at your chosen destination, as well as soaking up some of the impact energy if the worst occurs. A compound rubber sole provides excellent grip on the pegs and is supported by a removable EVA foam footbed within the Faster 3 boots, providing additional support for your arches when riding.

Finally, the Alpinestars Faster 3 Boots feature a traditional laced closure with an adjustable Velcro snap belt to help keep your laces away from any moving parts on your motorcycle.
